SASO Water Rationalization Certificate

The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) has implemented the Water Rationalization Program to establish minimum water flow rates for mixers, taps, and ceramic appliances. This initiative is designed to optimize water consumption across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A key component of this program is the Water Rationalization Label, which enables consumers to compare water usage between products available in the market.

Every product falling under the program’s scope must be registered and licensed through the SASO platform before entering Saudi Arabia. Licenses are valid for one year and come with both a Water Rationalization Certificate and a Water Rationalization Label. This label must be affixed to each product before export to ensure compliance.

The Saudi Product Safety Programme (SABER), managed by the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO), plays a vital role in supporting the Vision 2030 initiative. SABER is designed to regulate the import and sale of specific products in the Saudi market, ensuring compliance with essential safety and quality standards. Mandatory Shipment Certificate of Conformity for Customs Clearance Every shipment entering Saudi Arabia must be accompanied by a valid Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC), which will be verified by Saudi Customs upon arrival. Any shipment without this certificate will be denied entry. Understanding SABER Certification SABER certification involves two key steps: Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC): A document confirming that products meet SASO’s safety, quality, and environmental standards. This certificate is required before importation, following a thorough inspection and testing process by a SASO-accredited Certification Body. Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC): Required for every shipment entering Saudi Arabia. This certificate certifies that the products in the shipment are either non-regulated or have been approved by a recognized Certification Body. It is valid for one consignment only and must be used within 60 days of issuance. CertFlow's Role in SABER Certification CertFlow offers expert guidance through the SABER process, from product registration to obtaining the necessary certificates. We ensure full compliance, helping you avoid delays, reduce costs, and streamline your certification journey. Importers and businesses are advised to ensure their products are fully registered and compliant on the SABER platform to avoid any delays or issues with customs clearance.

What is a G Mark Certificate and How CertFlow Can Help You Obtain It? A G Mark certificate is a crucial certification required for specific products to be legally sold in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets. It demonstrates compliance with the region’s stringent safety, quality, and performance standards, ensuring consumer protection and product reliability. The G Mark represents that a product has passed all necessary conformity assessments under the G Mark Certification Scheme. This process starts with identifying the relevant Gulf Standards and Technical Regulations applicable to your product. From there, manufacturers must submit their products for testing and evaluation by a G Mark certification notified body, which is an accredited organization authorized to assess compliance. Once the product meets all the required standards, the G Mark certificate is issued, allowing the product to enter the GCC market. At CertFlow, we streamline this entire process for you. We provide expert guidance from initial product assessments through to certification. Our partnerships with reputable certification bodies ensure that your products are tested, certified, and approved quickly and headache-free. Whether you’re a manufacturer or importer, our support helps you avoid delays, rejections, and regulatory issues during customs clearance. The G Mark Certification Process The G Mark certification process is designed to ensure that products meet the high safety and quality standards set by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This process is especially vital for products covered under the GCC Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances. Here’s a breakdown of the process: Identify Relevant Standards: The process starts with identifying the applicable Gulf Technical Regulations and standards. Certification Issuance: Once all the requirements are met, the G Mark certificate is issued, allowing your product to be legally sold in the GCC countries. At CertFlow, we provide a simplified path to certification by working closely with accredited certification bodies. We manage the entire process, ensuring your products meet regulatory standards without unnecessary delays. We handle all aspects, from technical consulting and testing to documentation review, making the certification process efficient and stress-free.
